Lindell is no stranger to AFC! Years ago he served as the Youth Pastor at AFC, but later was called to the mission field. Lindell and his wife, Kay, served as missionaries in the Middle East for 36 years! A few years ago they retired and returned home to their AFC family. Lindell is a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan, but we don’t hold that against him (all the time). He is currently serving as our Interim Pastor and enjoys preaching each Sunday. You can certainly hear the passion of his missionary heart and see the joy Lindell has when sharing the Gospel.

Rev. Gary Klinger is a vital part of our church and community.  He has served our congregation for more than ten years.  Prior to joining Anderson First Church, Gary and his family served the Shipshewanna community in northern Indiana.  Gary is one of the most caring and selfless individuals you will ever meet.  He is a native of Avilla, Indiana and like most of our staff, he loves the Indianapolis Colts.  He claims that he doesn't have a hobby, but you should know that he is a man of many talents; ranging from an incredible athlete to the ideal handyman.  If you don't know Pastor Klinger, we advise you make an introduction and so does he.  The weird part is, he probably already knows who you are.

Pastor Roger Byrd has been with us for four years, although it seems as if it has been much longer.  Our congregation is thankful for his service to our church, our city, and global community. He loves his job, but most importantly the people at Anderson First Church.  Don't be mistaken by his passion for music, he spends much of his time attempting to play golf.  As a native of Akron, OH he is still a big time fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers.  Pastor Byrd enjoys spending time with my family and friends. He is gifted with many many talents, but he is first to admit that he fears public speaking.  Pastor Roger would love if you joined us in worship on Sundays at 10:30 am.

Brandon has served our church for ten years.  He started with us as an intern to youth ministry while attending Olivet Nazarene University.  He is a big part of our church and is passionate about not only the spiritual growth of our youth, but the whole church.  Brandon loves watching television, especially sports.  Being from Indianapolis, the Pacers have a special place in his heart.  He would tell you that he was in line to be Reggie Miller's replacement, however the Lord had other plans for his life.  Outside of church, Brandon loves to spend time with his family.  He is an important part of our leadership team.  God has blessed him with a unique ability to not only relate to all youth and families but to help foster spiritual growth within them.  Meet Pastor Brandon on Sundays at 10:30 am or Wednesdays at 7:00 pm.

Carla Clark, interim children's director

Carla may be the newest face on the AFC staff, but she is no stranger to Children’s Ministry. She has served in various roles in Children’s Ministry since her teen years. Carla is passionate about encouraging kids to grow into a deeper relationship with God. Carla enjoys antique shopping, reading Christian novels, playing with her great-nieces and nephews, games with family and spoiling her two dogs, Snickerdoodles and Kimberly Sue. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska and earned a BA in business in 1977 from Mid America Nazarene College. Kids will love Sunday morning worship at 10:30 and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 in the “warehouse” with Carla and her multi-talented staff.

Paul Gilmore, where do we start?  Like most of our staff, Paul is also from the great state of Indiana.  He attended Olivet Nazarene University and has barely aged with Anderson First Church for nearly seven years.  Paul is a true team player and is great in his role.  There aren't many individuals that can work with young adults, build community outreach programs, and develop relationships with our church elders without skipping a beat.  Paul spends most of his free time with his family and developing relationships with friends.  Paul, like Pastor Brandon thought he had a chance to join the Pacers roster, but he denied the offer and moved to Anderson so that he could be apart of our community.  If you don't know Paul, you ought to.  If you're wanting to find more ways to get involved, he is the one to talk to.

Keri Kardatzke, administrative assistant

Keri has served as the Administrative Assistant since November of 2013. Keri graciously handles all of the responsibilities that are a part of running a large church office as well as helping to meet many needs within the Anderson community. As the first face people often see when they enter the church office, Keri is quick to welcome everyone. She is a die-hard Cubs fan and loves anything vintage. Keri looks forward to the opportunity to get to know you and your family as you explore AFC.
